Suzette Sheer Babydoll Short Nightdress Set – Electric Blue
Sheer Babydoll Short Nightdress and Matching Thong
Our Suzette Lace Babydoll features stretch tulle that allows movement and is deliciously soft to the touch.
It is lovingly trimmed with an exquisite blue embroidered lace sourced from Switzerland. To make this stunning nightwear piece, Electric Blue ribbon edges the iconic 1950s shorty hemline and matched to the centre satin bow. It has adjustable straps that come through the floral embroidered lace sheer cups, giving gentle support to the bust area.
We have gone modern with a classic thong with a matching lace panel to complete the set.
The Suzette Babydoll nightie style chemise is the very definition of a flirty bedroom temptation, oozing sex appeal! It is designed to be both visually stunning and easy to wear.
Our limited-edition embroidered lace by Forster Rohner of Switzerland means that only 50 pieces will ever be manufactured in our factory so every Babydoll is handmade to order by our skilled team. Once it is gone – it’s gone!
History and Inspiration
Babydolls came into fashion during the late 50s when fabrics were in short supply. Designers had to use their imagination and be creative in order to make garments which were both affordable and desirable.
The earlier, World War 2 version, short negligee was made by an American lingerie designer called Sylvia Pedlar. The word Babydoll was brought to the attention of 50’s America by the film Babydoll starring Carroll Baker. After that, the Babydoll fashion trend continues with all different styles over the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s.
